Support and Professional Services Team
Join Lynxspring's Support and Professional Services Team. Primarily, the candidate will be conducting support on company-supplied products and services. The candidate will be expected to troubleshoot problems to resolution, work within a team environment and contribute to internal product/application development and testing. Additional opportunities include application design, development and deployment with any one of our ~150 partners.
Education and Experience
At minimum the candidate will have post-secondary vocational/technical education. The extraordinary candidate will also have minimum 3 years applied experience in controls and/or Niagara or similar.

Experienced Java Developer
Lynxspring, founded in 2002, is a leading technology company addressing building automation control requirements with a focus on interoperability. Lynxspring manufactures and distributes web-enabled, open protocol control solutions to fit the simplest to the most complex criteria building owners expect in today's market.
Responsibilities include:
Java Developer responsibilities include analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of application solutions as well as diagnosing problems and coming up with solutions. The candidate should possess a thorough understanding of how to design, develop, modify and enhance systems by applying good practices.
• Supports the entire Software Development Life Cycle including Maintenance.
• Responsible for Code Asset Management for applications, and supports and promotes asset reuse.
• Performs unit/integrated complete system testing according to detailed Functional Specification.
• With limited direction, supports the implementation of systems into production.
• Assists team members performing system maintenance, research, and support tasks.
• Utilizes accepted methodologies and tools in a disciplined manner
Required Skills:
• Thorough understanding of OOP
• Experience with Java, JSP, J2EE and Servlet
• Experience writing and interacting with Web Services
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Working with multiple APIs (e.g. Open Office, Google Maps, Amazon eCommerce, Flickr, etc.)
• Database experience - specifically using web and/or Java applications to share data with MS SQL Server or other relational databases
Preferred Skills:
The exceptional candidate will also have demonstrated experience with:
• XML development and design
• C++
• Adobe Photoshop
• Programming mobile apps, specifically iSoft or similar
• Version control applications, such as SubVersion
• Eclipse, MyEclipse
• Niagara AX
Education or Equivalent Experience:
• Technical or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems
• 3+ years of Java development experience
