About Larson Binkley, Inc.
Founded in 1987, Larson Binkley provides mechanical and electrical engineering and plumbing design services nationwide for retail stores, restaurants, schools, offices, data centers, laboratories, and high performance buildings.
Designing and implementing state-of-the-art technology is one of Larson Binkley's highest priorities. Larson Binkley developed custom Internet-based project management software in-house to control a large volume of projects and deadlines, including multiple projects for national clients. Project managers can access comprehensive information on the current status of each ongoing project. Automated alerts are provided as the project passes from one phase or discipline to another. Clients can call at any time and expect to receive prompt updates on the status of their projects.
Integrated into the project management system is a formal, extensive quality control program. Drawings are evaluated in several stages by senior principals with hands-on field experience in construction trades in addition to 25-30 years in engineering design. This practical experience contributes to a project change order cost percentage below industry standards, which is critical to keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
Engineers registered in 49 states with thorough knowledge of codes and design criteria in multiple jurisdictions give Larson Binkley the ability to expedite projects through local approval and permitting processes. This makes Larson Binkley a valuable design team member for prototype development and site-adapting existing prototype designs to a variety of locations and conditions.
Always on the lookout for new trends, Larson Binkley has vast experience in the design of several innovative, alternative technologies for HVAC, indoor air quality, and water efficiency. The firm's designs incorporate environmentally responsible design principles into all projects. Larson Binkley participates in internationally recognized organizations that promote sustainable design, including the U.S. Green Building Council and ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers). The firm has been honored with national-level awards and been a partner on many LEED certified projects.
