HVAC/Building Automation Control System Call Center Support Technician

Lynxspring, Inc. is looking for qualified applicants to join our System Support team. Lynxspring is a technology company positioned strategically within high-growth markets fueled by Internet of Things (IoT). With a focus on energy, automation, data-mining and information, our products provide a means of connectivity to customer assets and presentation at Edge devices to an Enterprise application.

The candidate will work with a team of top-notch Control Technicians and System Engineers. The position is in the Call Center responding to customer support questions on Lynxspring Tridium/Niagara products. This position requires that you interact with customers in a variety of manners, including telephone and electronic mail. The primary function of this position is researching customer issues in order to solve or apply control system solutions to HVAC systems on Lynxspring products and services. Positive personal and communication skills, troubleshooting techniques and application of solutions are required. Lastly, the candidate will use their skills to interface with Lynxspring’s development team to test and report on new products and technologies. Training will be provided.

Education and Experience

Education level shall include at minimum post-secondary vocational/technical education.

Job Description

The candidate will be expected to work within a team environment and contribute to internal product & application development, test application designs, and assist the team during the product life-cycle including deployment & support. The candidate will also be responsible for delivering solutions per customer’s specifications and help troubleshoot customer issues to resolution. Some travel is required to assist our partner channel and for system commissioning.


  • Working knowledge of fundamental operations of building automation systems and controls, control applications and integrations.
  • Knowledge and experience working with controls contractors and integrators
  • Related experience and training; should include work in the field of HVAC and BAS controls, protocols BACnet, LON & Modbus preferred.
  • NiagaraAX Certification (working knowledge of ProBuilder/Workbench) is a plus.

NiagaraAX is a powerful software suite designed for device-to-device connectivity and is widely accepted as the building automation solution of choice by many of today's largest manufacturers.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be a member of the Lynxspring, Inc. Research and Development Team. Typically the candidate will be self-directed into various development projects and operate as a developer within small or medium size teams. They will not just be given tasks to complete, they will also be asked to brain storm and come up with new and revolutionary ideas, an outside the box thinker. They will be given the privilege to work with some of the top people both embedded systems and firmware/software development. They will be expected to aid and in some cases lead certification efforts; UL, FCC, CE, etc.. They will learn how to read/design schematics and use circuit layout software to create circuit boards. The candidate will be asked to participate in many different facets of the product development pipeline, all the way from Idea – final product/quality control.

Development Skill Sets shall include some or all of the following:

  • Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
  • C, C++, Java
  • Embedded Linux
  • Linux and Windows driver development

  • Circuit Design/Layout

Education and Experience

Education level shall be a 4 year degree or 5 years of experience in electronic/firmware design.
